PRODUCT USES:
- On lime washed, loose and friable, excessively porous and under-bound masonry surfaces as a binding agent to provide a firm base for applying subsequent coats.
- Substrates: Cement plaster, gypsum plaster, porous brick, concrete, block work, rendered surfaces, gypsum board and friable masonry which have been neglected or previously coated with cement paints, distemper, lime wash or are chalky and loosely bound
- Thinner & equipment cleaner: White Spirit
- Dilution Ratio: Ready for use by brush application. Thin up to 5% with White Spirit for application to rough or textured surfaces. Avoid over-thinning as this will affect the application. Stir well before use and intermittently during use.
- Drying Times: Surface dry <2hrs & Hard dry <12hrs
- The product can be applied by: Brush. Application by roller or spray can be done but does not allow to work into porous surfaces. Apply two or more coats to achieve best binding properties.
- Spreading Capacity per coat: Depends on film thickness applied, type of texture, surface porosity, imperfections, temperature & wastage during painting 6 – 7 m2/l when applied over a smooth surface. Maximum spread rate per coat is obtained at minimum dry film thickness and vice versa.
- Excellent penetration and adhesion.
- Alkali resistant.
- Compatible with both oil & water-based topcoats.
